Photography of Fine Art & Limited Edition Prints
(and why you need a specialist)
Photography of art is a highly technical and specialized task, therefore in our opinion a generalist photographer is unlikely to be able to deliver images that are of the required standard. To properly capture the nuances of colour, texture and character of the original artwork calls for the very best in high-end equipment and experience gained through working with hundreds of artists.
In our photography practice, we have chosen to use the world’s best quality studio lighting and optics for the lenses for our medium format cameras. All the equipment and software workflow is meticulously calibrated and tuned to produce high quality and high resolution images.
We also have a fine art printing atelier which is co-located with our photography studio. Whilst these may be thought of as two separate services (some clients only ask us to photograph their work, others just send us their image files for us to print), we are firmly of the belief that having expertise in both significantly raises the quality of each.
Every artist throughout time has left their mark. On the work itself, and in many instances, their signature is to be found at the bottom right of every painting. We too believe in using our name as a statement to the artistic community that our work is of the highest standard, and it re-iterates our commitment and attention to detail that goes into each and every client assignment.
